Mr. Scott Bergey is a 1982 graduate of UBCS (senior class president), and we are happy to welcome him back to Upper Bucks!
For the last 10 years Mr. Bergey has served as the associate administrator of Calvary Baptist School in Lansdale. During that time he has been a vital part of an administrative team that has solidified the future of CBS. Enrollment has grown steadily and substantially in the last decade. The school’s budgets have improved annually- all while expanding educational options for all types of learners. Mr. Bergey assisted Calvary with their very successful international student program, and he implemented the addition of AP and Honors courses for CBS’ high school students.
Mr. Bergey’s involvement with students has been widespread during his tenure at CBS. He has taught nine different courses at various times including Bible, Accounting, and various business math and science classes. He has coached the high school girls’ basketball team, served as Calvary’s athletic director, and has overseen the foodservice program at CBS. He also served the ACCAC (the Atlantic Coast Christian Athletic Conference) in a variety of offices including president for six years.
Prior to being part of the leadership team at Calvary Baptist School, Mr. Bergey was in management at both Merck and Clemens Markets. His business expertise was a vital asset to these companies whether it involved overseeing a multi-million dollar budget or providing HR support to scores of employees. Mr. Bergey streamlined processes that saved the employees time and the companies money.
Mr. Bergey graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 1986 with a degree in Bible (Minor in Accounting). Three years later he finished his Master of Divinity degree at Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary in Lansdale.
Mr. Bergey and his wife Marie live in Sellersville. They have three grown children (two sons and one daughter) and three grandchildren.
