Equation for Life
A solid Christian education coupled with moral family values has been the building blocks for Joanna’s life. Graduating from UBCS, she has created a foundation for a life of being a witness for Christ.
Joanna feels blessed that her parents valued a spiritual Christian education by sending her to UBCS. As a UBCS student and athlete, she was taught that hard work was required to be rewarded. Through the dedicated teachers and coaches, especially Miss Donna Manetta, she was given the groundwork to develop a strong work ethic. The faculty at UBCS saw potential in all students because they are God’s creation. They would not let them settle for anything less that the best.
Joanna went on to Clearwater Christian College to study Chemistry while excelling at basketball and volleyball. She now works for Merck Research Labs in West Point PA. She’s a staff Chemist, striving to develop drug that will improve the quality of life of so many of Christ’s people.
Her husband, Rob Everitt works for Univest Bank and is the primary caregiver to their two children, Robby IV, 3, and Ty James, 1. Joanna and Rob are spreading the word of God by being the Junior High Youth Leaders at their church. She leads the singing while Rob coordinates activities for the youth, speaks occasionally and leads game time. They also individually lead small groups of young men and women each Sunday. “We teach them each week about God’s principles for life but often times we are the one’s learning from the teens.”
“My experience at Upper Bucks was priceless. The interest that each teacher & coach takes in each student is rare. I cherished my experience at Upper Bucks, and now, almost 10 years later, when I see the faculty and staff they still care about how I am serving the Lord! What a blessing to have a staff that cares! I received a valuable, well-rounded education from Science to Art to Home Economics to Choir and more. The women's sports program changed my life! I thank the Upper Bucks staff for allowing God to use all of you to help shape my life."
