Upper Bucks Christian School is in the business of educating students for eternity. These eternal values taught to us by the Savior through His Word form the foundation for all learning. We also teach our students to strive for excellence in everything they do. Students in our Secondary Department (grades 7 through 12) are encouraged to grow in mind, body and spirit. Over 800 young people have graduated from the UBCS high school since the first commencement in 1976 and have gone on to lead successful, productive lives.
The secondary grades are housed on the main campus of Bethel Baptist Church/Upper Bucks Christian School. Chapel is held twice a week in the Timothy Christian Education Center. The Timothy building also houses an Art studio, Computer laboratory, Home Economics laboratory, two Science laboratories, social center/cafeteria, commercial kitchen and a large library.
The Music Center, adjacent to the Timothy Christian Education Center, contains a large band room and two practice rooms. A full-sized gymnasium with locker room facilities is equipped with mechanized folding door to divide the gym into two full courts for boys’ and girls’ physical education classes. A large athletic field borders the gymnasium.
Class offerings meet or surpass state graduation requirements, while providing students with a biblically-integrated curriculum. All the core curriculum classes are provided, as well as Spanish, computer, home economics, art, music, physical education and speech.
Students may participate in Jr. High and Senior High Choir (rehearsals are built into the regular class schedule). Symphonic bands are available for beginners through advanced instrumentalists. Private voice, piano, and instrumental lessons are available for an additional fee. Annual Christmas and spring concerts provide students with an opportunity to perform in front of an audience.
Students may be elegible to participate in many other activities, such as
