Emilie Weiss

Scott is a 1982 graduate of UBCS. He and his wife, Marie, live in Bechtelsville and have three grown children and eight grandchildren. He is an avid sports fan, especially of the Philadelphia Eagles, and soaks up every minute he can get with his grandchildren. Scott has a Bible degree from Pensacola Christian College and Masters of Divinity from Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary. For 10 years, he served as the associate administrator for Calvary Baptist School in Lansdale; he re-joined the UBCS family as administrator in the summer of 2017.

Josh graduated from Bob Jones University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Bible, a master’s in Theology, and a Master’s of Divinity from Heart of America Theological Seminary. Josh and his wife, Christy, have been married since 1999 and have five children and two dogs. He and his family love to be outdoors as much as time allows; Josh also enjoys watching sports – his children playing for UBCS or football in the fall (Eagles on Sundays and the Buckeyes on Saturdays). Josh loves to open up the Bible with the students of Upper Bucks to help them to learn what it actually says and then thoughtfully reflect on how to apply Scripture to everyday situations.

Holly graduated from Lansdale School of Business and earned an undergraduate degree in Computer Applications Management. She began working at UBCS in 2015 and loves working in the STEM and Library Division. Holly lives in the Quakertown area and enjoys spending time with her family, visiting the beach, fishing, reading, and watching her kids’ sporting events. Her favorite thing about UBCS is the opportunity to help students develop a love for reading, listening to her students excitedly tell her about their library books, and watching the sporting events at UBCS.

Lois is an alumna of the first graduating class of UBCS! She began teaching 4th Grade at Upper Bucks after graduating with a BS in elementary education from Bob Jones University. She taught at UBCS for 25 years before having moved on to work for LifePath, a non-profit organization meeting the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Lois lives in Quakertown with her husband, Olen, who is the music director at their church. She loves spending time with her three adult children and six grandchildren; she also enjoys cooking and baking, game nights, and watching and playing volleyball and is excited to have re-joined the UBCS family in 2020! Lois enjoys nurturing children to grow in wisdom, and in favor with God and man.

Christina graduated from Temple University and Ottawa University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Management. Before joining the UBCS family, Christina was a caregiver to her father-in-law. Prior to being a caregiver, Christina was a director of a logistics company. However, she’s been cooking and baking since she was 8 years old! She lives in the Upper Perkiomen Area with her husband and 3 boys (her daughter, a 2020 Alumna, is married and lives out of state) and enjoys walking, hiking, kayaking, serving in her community and at her church, as well as cooking and especially baking! She also loves spending time with her family and friends and dreaming about traveling. Christina considers it an honor and privilege to share her love for food with the students. She hopes to inspire others to love cooking and baking as well.

Megan graduated from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She has worked in various roles in business marketing such as events planning, account management and freelance writing. Megan lives in the Pennsburg area with her husband and two children and enjoys writing, reading historical fiction, traveling, and scouting out the next fun activity for her family. Her son and daughter have attended UBCS since they were in daycare. Over the years, she has served on the UBCS School Board, and volunteered in various capacities, from lunchroom helper to classroom parties. Wherever the Lord calls her, she looks forward to serving in His name.

Eric is our Music Director and also serves as the Music Pastor at Bethel Baptist Church, working with the church’s music and leading worship services. Eric graduated from Bob Jones University with a bachelor’s degree in Piano and a master’s degree in Church Music. He lives in the Quakertown area with his wife and four children and enjoys brewing coffees and watching the Eagles. Eric enjoys teaching because he loves sharing his passion. He likes the passages from Ephesians 1 and Romans 8 that highlight the grace of God in purposing to save people.

Abbye graduated from Maranatha Baptist University with a bachelor’s degree in Humanities-Letters and went on to receive her license in Event Coordinating from Penn State; she has been our Events gal since the fall of 2017! Abbye lives in the Quakertown area with her husband and daughter and enjoys all types of outdoor activities and playing the piano and violin. She loves the working environment at UBCS and considers it a privilege to work alongside such a caring group of individuals.

Pam is an alumna of UBCS and graduated from Bob Jones University with a bachelor’s in Office Administration in 2000. She lives in the Quakertown area and enjoys spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Pam is also a sports fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers and Phillies and enjoys watching them play. She enjoys seeing the students grow in their knowledge and love for God.

Kristin graduated from Bob Jones University where she earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Elementary Education. She has been teaching at UBCS since 2010 and lives in the Hatfield area. Kristin enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with family. She loves the enthusiasm and joy of students as they are learning to read and when the “light” comes on when they grasp new concepts. Having the privilege of teaching Biblical principles throughout all subject content is the best part of teaching at UBCS!

Elizabeth graduated from Baptist Bible College with bachelor’s degrees in both Bible and Early Childhood Education and Master’s of Education with a certificate as a reading specialist. She is an alumna of UBCS and has been teaching since 2012! Elizabeth lives in the Souderton area and enjoys being a piano teacher, visiting museums, and playing in the Quakertown band. She enjoys teaching for the purpose of preparing the next generation to serve and loves to see the joy on students’ faces when concepts connect in their mind.

Jewelia graduated from SUNY at Stony Brook with bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Several years later, she pursued teaching and graduated with a master’s degree in Christian Education from Westminster Theological Seminary. She has served in various capacities in her home church, including Children’s Church Director and Camp Director. She lives in the North Wales area and loves teaching and serving the Lord in whatever capacity she can. She loves seeing how children are like sponges, soaking up whatever they can to further their walk with the Lord!

Adam graduated from Maranatha Baptist University with a Bachelor’s in Mathematics Education in 2019 and a Master’s in Teaching and Learning in 2020. He lives in the Upper Perkiomen Valley area with his wife and enjoys a good run, good food, good coffee, a good book, and the New England Patriots. Adam believes that God has equipped him to teach because of the opportunity to help students experience and grow in the joy of living in God’s kingdom. He wants to use his classroom to share that joy with his students as they grow in their walk with Christ.

Victoria graduated from Bob Jones University with a bachelor’s degree in Middle School Education for Language Arts and Social Studies, and she has been teaching in the classroom since 2019. She lives in the Upper Perkiomen Valley with her husband (and favorite coworker!) Adam Love. She enjoys distance running, coaching, crafting, and taking nice, long naps. Victoria loves teaching because she loves to be a part of students’ growth and development. She loves walking alongside them as they change and grow up and fulfill their potential.

Patti lives in the Sellersville area and enjoys gardening, watching football, and buying presents for her fourteen nieces and nephews AND seven great nieces and nephews! Patti is humbled and thrilled to be a part of the process God uses to grow his children; she loves watching her students change as they grow.

Brenda graduated from Philadelphia Biblical University (now Cairn) with a bachelor’s degree in Bible and Elementary Education. Brenda lives in the Boyertown area with her husband and son and enjoys gardening, reading, watching baseball, and spending time in the mountains! Brenda loves teaching because she enjoys children and watching them learn and discover. It’s exciting for her to see them grow and mature academically and spiritually.

Krista graduated from Bob Jones University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. She lives in the Quakertown area with her husband and three children and enjoys creating new art pieces and being with her family. Krista enjoys teaching for the purpose of having the chance to make an impact for God and build relationships with the students. She enjoys seeing when students “get” the concept in class and use their creativity. It’s even more exciting to see them use their talents for Christ after they graduate! Krista genuinely enjoys the students and fully believes in them and their potential!

Karen graduated from Westfield State College with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She has also taken graduate classes in Special Education from Eastern Nazarene College. Before joining the UBCS family, Karen taught 3rd Grade at a Christian school south of Boston. Prior to teaching 3rd Grade, Karen was a missionary teaching 1st/2nd Grade on a hospital ship, Anastasis, with the organization Mercy Ships. She enjoys gardening, reading, traveling, quilting, and spending time with family. She counts it a privilege to work with the students, teachers, and parents of UBCS.

Liz graduated from Bob Jones University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She returned to BJU for a master’s of Education degree in 2021. She met her husband Nick, during her freshman year at BJU. They were married in June 2017 and worked together at a Christian school in Florida for 7 years. Liz and her husband have two children, Rae and Asher! Rae will be a kindergartner at UBCS and Asher will be joining the daycare. Liz enjoys crafting, being outside, reading, good coffee, and Bible study. She is looking forward to joining the UBCS family and serving alongside.

Dawn graduated from Bob Jones University with a bachelor’s degree in Health, Fitness, and Recreation. She has been teaching at Upper Bucks since 2006 and has been our Athletic Director since 2013! Dawn lives in the Coopersburg area with her husband and three children and enjoys spending any time outdoors. Dawn is a registered Class A PGA Professional; you can find her on the golf course training others from late Spring to early Fall! Dawn enjoys seeing students stay active and be healthy to live a life worthy of their calling to Christ. As a parent, Dawn says it is awesome to know that the teachers of her kids are encouraging them every day to love God and that they are able to help reinforce the Biblical principles taught in their home.

Charity lives in Perkiomenville and enjoys spending time with family and friends, kayaking, hiking, traveling, reading, and going to musicals/plays. She enjoys teaching because teaching is all about changing lives through understanding. Her goal is to help her students achieve goals that seem impossible to them: Luke 1:37 “For nothing will be impossible with God.”

Chrissy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Special Education with Elementary Education from Bob Jones University in 1997. She and her husband, Steve, live in Quakertown with their two young-adult children. As a family they are always up for an adventure, and they love to travel to see new places and to visit historical sites. Their favorite place on earth is the Outer Banks, NC. Chrissy has been teaching for 24 years and has taught learning support, kindergarten, first and fourth grades as well as directed middle and high school Drama. Chrissy’s favorite parts of teaching are teaching the “why” behind what students are learning, helping students learn God’s Word and to apply it in all areas of life, and to live wholly for Him, regardless of circumstance or consequence.

Peter loves to read, go to museums, watch documentaries and all sorts of “nerdy” stuff; he also enjoys landscaping and woodworking. Peter loves working at UBCS because of the interaction with the students and the opportunity to invest in them.

Tim graduated from Shippensburg University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Science. Tim also has worked in production environments from material handling to production manager positions. He lives in the Pennridge Community with his wife and adult son and enjoys reading, camping, fishing, and roasting coffee! Teaching has always been Tim’s life passion. When the opportunity presented itself in the Christian School environment, he felt led to take that passion and help in this important ministry to guide students into life-long learners. “What we teach is important, but who we teach is the reason we really enter this field,” Tim says. Having the opportunity to share his passion for learning with the students and growing with them in this academic adventure is why he’s here!

Emilie, an alumna of UBCS, graduated from Cedarville University with a degree in Communication Arts with a minor in Bible. She lives in Quakertown with her husband and four wonderful sons. Emilie loves spending time with her family playing games, being outdoors, or chatting with friends over a cup of coffee. Over the years, Emilie has held a variety of positions in social work, education, and ministry. She is thankful to be in her third year at Upper Bucks and currently serves as the Director of Guidance and Family Services along with being the Drama and Speech teacher.

Erin graduated from Pensecola Christian College with a BSN and moved onto Regis University to earn an MSN. In addition, she earned her CMSRN (Certified Med-Surg RN) a few years after; she has been actively employed in the nursing field for over 20 years. Erin lives in the Coopersburg area with her husband and two boys, and enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, thrift shopping, reading, singing, and experiencing music! Both of her sisters, who live in Olympia, Washington, are professional musicians, so she soaks up any expertise from them she can get. Erin is thankful to God for leading her into her profession. Being an extension of God’s mercy to bodies and souls that are hurting is incredibly humbling and rewarding to Erin. She’s thankful and excited to be able minister to and care for the students at UBCS!
