Middle School

The course of study for students entering middle school is challenging and motivating and taught from a strong Biblical worldview. The program is designed to help provide stability and support in a time of physical and emotional transition, as well as the necessary academic foundation the students will need in high school. Dedicated Christian teachers lead, encourage, inspire, and guide the middle school students as they navigate this time of transition. The UBCS middle school is divided into two sections, 5th & 6th and 7th & 8th.

5th & 6th

Students in 5th grade and 6th grade begin to change classrooms for some of their classes to prepare them for 7th and 8th grade when they will change classrooms and teachers for all of their classes. Fifth and sixth graders take the following classes:

  • Bible
  • Math
  • Language arts
  • History
  • Science
  • Art
  • Music
  • PE
  • STEM
  • keyboarding

7th & 8th

Students in 7th grade and 8th grade change classrooms and teachers for all of their classes in preparation for high school. In 7th grade students begin to take math classes which best fit their abilities based on a placement test.

  • Bible (including Bible Quizzing)
  • Math (Fundamentals of Math, pre-algebra, and Algebra 1 offered)
